Evan Murray

Evan Murray is E11 Bio's Spatial 'Omics scientist. He started his research career in the lab of Kwanghun Chung, where he worked on technologies for faster labeling of large samples for optical microscopy (Murray et al, 2015, Kim et al, 2015). Evan later developed an interest in genomics and worked on spatial transcriptomics methods combining both light microscopy and NGS (Stickels et al, 2020). In his most recent role, he applied functional genomics techniques in the agricultural sector with the aim of identifying gene networks that could be targets for increasing crop yield.

When not in the lab, Evan enjoys any activity that gets him out of the city and into nature (hiking, climbing, and scuba diving are a few examples). Bonus points if there are any plants that look like they would fit into Jurassic Park.
