Madelynn Isbrecht

Madelynn Isbrecht is a research associate at E11 Bio, contributing to tissue preparation and sample pipeline workflows for scalable brain circuit mapping. She recently graduated with her B.S. in Neuroscience from the University of Michigan, where she worked in the Cai Lab at the Michigan Neuroscience Institute, helping to optimize tissue clearing and delipidation protocols and processing specimens through hydrogel embedding, immunohistochemical staining, and advanced microscopy. She also contributed to histological preparation and immunohistochemical analysis in the Chestek Lab, supporting research on carbon-fiber electrode arrays for intracortical recording. She presented her work at the Society for Neuroscience Annual Meeting in 2025 and was awarded a Blue Ribbon for outstanding oral presentation at the University of Michigan Undergraduate Research Symposium.

Outside of the lab, Madelynn can be found at pilates, hanging out with her cats Miso and Bear, or on a dedicated search for the perfect overpriced matcha.
